Quick Doesn’t Mean Careless: How I Work and Why
A lot of people associate fast with frantic. Rushed. Sloppy. Impersonal. So when I tell people I can design a full website or brand in a couple of days, I usually get a raised eyebrow. Sometimes even a “Wait… that’s it?”
Let me clear that up.
I work fast because I care. Not because I cut corners.
When a client comes to me, they’re usually stuck. not because they don’t know what they want, but because they’ve been in the weeds for too long.
Too many drafts… Too many opinions… Too many shoulds.
And when you’ve been staring at something that closely, it’s almost impossible to make decisions without spiraling. It all starts to feel like too much.
That’s where I come in.
This isn’t rushed. It’s focused.
I don’t start from scratch. I start from what’s already true and build from there. Quickly, intuitively, and with intention.
Fast doesn’t mean thoughtless. It means:
we get to the heart of your why
identify your goals
understand the wants and needs of your audience
and design in a way that serves all of that.
So, what does “fast” look like?
It looks like this:
Real-time feedback. I send Loom videos and WhatsApp messages instead of waiting for the “perfect time” to present a polished deck. It’s more human, more efficient, and keeps us in flow.
Strong upfront info. I ask the right questions before we begin, and I use tools that help us skip the back-and-forth. I don’t sketch for days on paper. I do it in my head while I listen, while I research, while I absorb.
Direct honesty. I ask for negative feedback early. Tell me what you don’t like. What felt off. What made you cringe a little. That’s not personal, it’s directional. It helps us stay far away from what doesn’t work.
Meeting your moment. I know by the time you’re hiring someone, you’re probably already behind. A launch is coming, you have an event coming up… or maybe you’ve just hit that “I’m done” moment. You don’t have time to circle the drain for another six weeks. You need someone who can move with you. The sooner the better.
Fast can still be deep.
What I do isn’t slap-it-together design. It’s grounded. Collaborative. Honest. It’s clarity-driven decision-making, wrapped in beautiful visuals.
So yes, I work fast. But only because I know how to help you stop spinning and start moving, with your voice, your vibe, and your values leading the way.
Also? I’m neurodivergent, and this way of working just makes sense to my brain. I’ve done it the traditional way. The long timelines, the step-by-step presentations, the endless revisions. I have a whole portfolio of happy clients from that season. But after a lot of learning (and unlearning), I’ve built a process that actually works for me and for you. More on that in another post, but just know: this isn’t a shortcut. It’s a better path.
Ready when you are.
If you’re circling something that just needs to be done already, let’s make it happen.
The Maker Studio is here for full-day, collaborative projects that bring clarity and results.
Not quite ready for a full build?
An Untangling Session might be all you need to get unstuck and move forward with confidence.
Either way, you don’t have to do it alone. See you soon.
AI note
I love letting you know when I’ve had help from AI, because it might help you, too. Tools like ChatGPT aren’t about replacing ourselves (or our copywriter friends). They’re about supporting the parts of the process that feel harder.
In this post, AI helped me:
Organize scattered thoughts into a cohesive story
Develop a few specific examples that matched my voice
